This bar will not work with a glass rear window or oem hardtop. This replaces the factory cross bar with one that is integrated into the rollbar and provides a mounting point for harnesses. This roll bar includes a harness bar though it interferes with a glass rear window and the side latches on a hardtop. Therefore this is one of the best miata roll bars for soft top convertibles but it s a no go for hardtop cars.
